Model Y electric cars are already being produced in the “Gigafactory” Berlin for internal test purposes. After the start, up to 500,000 cars per year with around 12,000 employees are planned in an initial expansion stage. In addition to the mid-size SUV Model Y, production will later also include the mid-size sedan Model 3. So far, both models have been exported from China to Europe.
